By downloading, installing, or using Stella ("the Software"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

License

Stella is provided as a free-to-use application for personal and professional use. You may install and use the Software on any number of personal devices. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software.

The Software

Stella is a local-first semantic search tool that indexes files on your device. All processing occurs locally — no data is transmitted to external servers for search or indexing purposes.

No Warranty

The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not guarantee that the Software will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Stella or its creators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, arising out of your use of the Software.

Your Data

You retain full ownership of all files and data processed by Stella. The Software does not claim any rights to your content. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled.

Updates

We may release updates to the Software from time to time. These updates may include bug fixes, new features, or security patches. Continued use of the Software after an update constitutes acceptance of any modified terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Software at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling removes the application and its local index data from your device.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
